Coron—A Style Guide

Sometimes I dream of living in an island. If given a chance I will certainly choose Coron. We went to Coron for just a quick four-day trip to celebrate my mom's birthday. We stayed at Sunz En Coron—this is the second time that we stayed here and still live up to my expectations, from their food to their amenities. I highly recommend their breakfast meals. This is my second time exploring Coron, Palawan, because the last time we went there, a storm reported on the island so some of the activities are canceled and the majority of our stay was just chilling at the resort. But for the second time, we did not miss out on anything, from Island hopping, snorkeling, and water sport at Royal Island Water Sports.

Talking about style, palm printed shirts, tank tops, beach shorts, and Birkenstock slippers. Some of the pieces you will always see at the beach. So here are some of my fave beach style combinations that I wore on our trip last year to Coron.

Wearing long sleeves to the beach is somewhat peculiar for others but with classy and bright prints it will scream summer vibes and it could protect your skin from the heat when you're just laying on the sand or just chillin’ beside the pool and reading your favorite book or listening to a motivational podcast. Also, it is nice to sometimes cover up when going to dinner and when exploring the city, then partner it up with a bag and a hat and you're ready to go!

Well, tank tops are a staple when going to the beach. But plain tank tops are just boring, try to have some prints and graphics or statement so that your tank top could stand out from the crowd.

The most popular fit for the beach is well obviously, a palm printed shirt. This shirt from Coco Republic is my all-time favorite because of its classy color but at the same time gives that summer vibe.

ACCESSORIZE! Try having a tote bag where you could just put your things—power bank, phone, and other beach essentials. And it’s better if your tote is waterproof, just to be safe. Also, a bucket hat or a visor is a plus, and don’t ever forget to wear your sunnies to the beach! I had brought at least twelve sunnies to this trip just to be sure so that you’ll have options! options! options!

When picking out clothes for and island trip stick to something where you’ll be comfortable in because there will be for sure a lot of activities you’ll be doing, so it is better that you’re wearing something comfy and you can move around in but still fashion-forward.
